The Surgery Residency Journal Club serves to teach and develop critical appraisal skills, increase exposure to evolving medical literature and help in informed clinical practice. The journal club will help facilitate better knowledge and literature awareness through group discussion with peers.

1. Locate, appraise and assimilate evidence from scientific studies
2. Apply knowledge of research studies and statistics to clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic treatment
3. Demonstrate enhanced knowledge, skills and effective delivery of patient care through research and discussion.

Luminis Health is accredited by MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
