Obesity Symposium 2025

This symposium is designed to provide all healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of modern obesity management, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach. Rather than focusing solely on surgical interventions, the course highlights the pivotal roles of medical therapy, behavioral support, endoscopy, physical therapy, anesthesia, and endocrinology in achieving sustainable outcomes. Attendees will gain practical tools to better counsel patients, recognize appropriate referral points, and collaborate effectively with specialists to deliver individualized, long-term obesity care.

1. Recognize obesity as a chronic, relapsing disease and describe the role of multidisciplinary care in its long-term management.
2. Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans for obesity that incorporate medications, nutritional strategies, physical activity, and behavioral counseling.
3. Understand the role of revisional bariatric Surgery
4. Identify evidence-based medical treatment options, including the use of GLP-1 receptor agonists and other emerging pharmacotherapies.
