Hematology and Oncology Best Practices for the Primary Care Community and Hematology/Oncology community. Connecting Cancer specialists and Primary care specialists. This symposium will provide updates on the diagnosis, staging, and therapeutic management of breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, and hematologic malignancies.

1. Analyze state-of-the-science in diagnosis, staging, and therapeutic management of solid tumor cancers and hematologic cancers
2. Understand recent treatment advances in solid tumor and hematologic oncology and apply knowledge gained in modern clinical practice
3. Analyze diagnosis and management of hematological disorders which generally do not need referral to hematology/oncology
4. Understand new and emerging treatment strategies for patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors
5. Analyze the clinical evidence supporting recent advancements in cancer diagnostics and therapeutics
6. Understand indications, contraindications, and common adverse effects of current and novel cancer therapies
7. Understand best practices for managing treatment related toxicities to improve patient quality of life
