Overview

During each session in this series, attendees will participate in a multidisciplinary team discussion of both prospective and follow-up case presentations. The presentations in this activity include the recommendations of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) regarding appropriate staging in clinical practice.


Objectives
  1. Promote a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with breast disease.
  2. Apply evidence-based medicine to ensure the most appropriate clinical pathways for enhanced patient outcomes and continuous quality improvement.
  3. Advance the evaluation, treatment and management of patients through discussion of novel approaches and advanced therapies.
  4. Utilize AJCC or other appropriate staging in clinical practice, which includes the use of appropriate prognostic indicators and evidence-based national guidelines used in treatment planning.
